This song is new (kinda), and it is awesome. As an “American Boy”, I take particular pleasure in its encouraging words.

7 - "Shut up! I love it!" - I Can think of nothing that could be changed to make it better. This is a Favorite.
6 - "It Don't Get Much Better" - Amazing. Oh the memorable moments, the fun, the pleasure. Not the best of the best, but a second tier favorite.
5 - "Faaaaaantastic!!!" - Very Enjoyable. Maybe some quotable dialogue and fun times. Maybe an aspect or two I didn't like, but I still really enjoyed it.
4 - "Well, That was good but not great" - Your average movie, a few problems but I was still entertianed overall.
3 - "Meh. Alright, I guess." - It was watchable, maybe had something entertaining, but I would not give it a second watch. It was hardly worth the first.
2 - "Whatever." - I don't get it or like it. It did nothing for me, but it wasn't so bad it pissed me off.
1 - "This is Butt Fudge, and I am Angry." - Pisses on my intelligance and insanity it's so bad. So awful it is memory pollution.

SONG OF THE POST: “American Boy” by Estelle
All this week I’ve been listening to this song from the musical, Sweeny Todd. This is my favorite version, sung by George Hearn adn John Barrowman. Enjoy.
Actually they’re just new interests.
Grace, peace, thanks, and greetings to each of you. Today, as a symbol of gratitude, I go to a bakery and bake each of you a fine loaf of bread. You take of it and eat. It is delicious.
Well, my friends, this last weekend was one of joy and wonder as I found two new products I enjoy.
Back in February of 06, my buddy Dave let me borrow a show. I watched the first disc-and-a-half ofit as background noise while I was working on other things, and I found it to be “okay”. Then, back in August 2006, he said I could keep it cause he figure’d I’d really dig it once I got into it. It sat on my shelf til this afternoon. Now, I love it. It is a series about which some of you have heard. It is a tale of mankind’s fight for survival against machines which he created. It is a tale of war, of woe, of trial, and of tribulation. It is the tale of the Galactica, Battlestar Galactica. Listen, you can judge me all you want for Roadhouse, Jesse McCartney, Smooth Jazz, and Daredevil; BUT no one will ever be able to gome up with a sound argument to disavow the quality of Sci-fi channel’s awesome original series, Battlestar Galactica. I am gonna step on some toes, but I would argue that Battlestar is superior to not only all of the Star Trek shows but also Joss Whedon’s beloved Firefly (and those of you know me know how much I enjoy the work of the Whedon). This show is so good that I watched through 2 discs in a day and was craving more. It may be in my top ten shows of all time. The characters are solid, with a wide array of types with which one can identify; and the action and design are fantastic, not as good as Star Wars or the best parts of the Trek series but still solid. If you get the opportunity, pick up this DVD and watch the entire first disc and first three episodes of the second, you should be hooked. After 24 and The Shield, this may be the best show on TV. It is an epic, sprawling space opera with all manor of beauty, horror, emotion, and energy.

As an added bonus, Diamond Select Toys, who has blessed fans with over 75 unique Buffy adn Angel figures is going to be producing 6″ BattleStar Galactica figures, and I am excited about that. Oh yes.
The second item of note is a musical one. On Friday night, my wife and I picked up the Robin Thicke CD, “The Evolution of Robin Thicke”, and it is a solid album, probably the best one I’ve picked up since Christmas. Imagine Justin Timberlake’s falcetto voice with stronger tone, put to smooth R&B beats reminiscient of Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye but also contempory like those of Musiq Soulchild and Remy Shand. Written completely by Thicke less one track composed by the Neptunes, “Evolution” is a blend of several music styles and genres, all of which flow smoothly over the course of the 16 track CD. The album’s current singles are “Wanna Love You Girl” and “Lost Without U”, and both are 90% better than everything on the radio right now. If you are into the Neo-soul sounds of Jill Scott, John Legend, Musiq, Remy Shand, and others like them, give this album a listen. It retails at Wal-mart for only $8.64, so it’s a pretty cheap risk to take; and if you like the other artists mentioned here, it will be a risk that yields grand rewards. MOST NOTABLE TRACKS: “Lonely Wolrd”, “Got 2 Be Down”, “Would That Make You Love Me”, “Lost Without U”. “Complicated”, and “Wanna Love You Girl”

So, yep. I am a happy camper. If you know of these things and like them as well, back me up with a comment.

Grace, peace, and thanks to you all. As I enter this latest update, I remind you of the power of legos and encourage you to buy some and build to your hearts content. Also, to Joe and Jason, thank you for your encouragement via e-mail/comment. I hope to continue enterntaining you.
Here’s a most excellent video my friend Dean Dean sent me.
This video was really impressive. It made me think about how frustrating it is that some persons with little to no talent (like [insert name of your choosing here]) make millions and have fans around the globe while this cat, who is doing something I have never seen done in my life, is barely known. In fact, I don’t even know this guy’s name. Sad, huh. So, support your artists and spread the word as I am doing for this fine performer. If you know who he is, comment.
Also, as I mentioned in the greetings, I encourage the purchase of lego product. Last night, I spent the evening watching The Rocketeer and UHF back-to-back while building Jabba’s Sail Barge from Return of the Jedi. For those of you who are cooler than me and do not know what that is, it’s the giant hoverboat that Jabba sits in when Luke and Han are about to be executed at the Sarlacc Pit. The set from lego was Pricey, but building it was half the price. Watching a young and innocent Michael Richards while putting together a Lego recreation of my favorite fight scene of all time was pretty much the best way I could have spent my mid-week evening. Maybe I’ll try to take a picture. For right now, here is a promo shot.
Speaking of UHF, that movie…You know how sometimes you see something several years ago, and you love it then watch it later, and you don’t get why. Well, for me, UHF was not like that at all. Weird Al’s movie is so funny from start to finish. It is just hilarious. HILARIOUS! If you haven’t see UHF or haven’t seen it in a while, go now. Stop reading, call a friend, borrow the movie, or go rent it. Just watch it. Rocketeer is fairly stellar too. It’s not nearly as action-packed as I remember, but Jennifer Connelly is more attractive than I remember, so it evens out.
Wow, just talking nonsense has actually turned into a post…okay.
